Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the IGEN Event Management System ("IGEN Events" or "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.
Accounts and Google Sign-In
Access to some features requires authentication through Google Sign-In.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for activity performed through your authenticated session.
You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or attempt to access an account you are not authorized to use.
IGEN may restrict or suspend access where account misuse, security risks, fraudulent activity or violations of these Terms are reasonably suspected.
Event listings and registrations
The Service allows users to view IGEN events and, where registration is available, register for eligible events.
Event details such as date, time, location, speaker, capacity, registration period, participation requirements or streaming information may be updated by authorized event administrators.
Organizers may reasonably modify, postpone or cancel an event when required.
Users should review the most recent event information before attending or participating.
Google Calendar integration
Google Calendar synchronization is an optional feature.
When you choose to connect Google Calendar and grant the requested permission, the Service may create, update or remove calendar entries relating to your IGEN event registrations.
You may revoke Google authorization at any time. Revoking authorization may prevent future automatic calendar synchronization.
Users remain responsible for checking the official event page for the latest event date, time, venue, streaming URL and other changes.
Live streams and participation records
Certain events may include live-streaming or participation-tracking functionality.
The Service may measure eligible viewing or participation time according to technical activity recorded by the system.
Users must not attempt to falsify watch time, attendance, registration status, participation data or other event records.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access another user's account without authorization.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, registration limits or other security controls.
- Submit intentionally false event, attendance or profile information.
- Introduce malware, automated abuse, destructive code or unauthorized scanning.
- Interfere with the operation, availability or security of the Service.
- Scrape, copy or systematically extract protected information without permission.
- Use the Service to violate applicable law or the rights of another person.
Event materials and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website design, branding, event materials, graphics, text, documents and other content made available through the Service are owned by IGEN, its licensors, event organizers or the applicable rights holder.
Access to the Service does not transfer intellectual-property ownership to users.
Materials may not be commercially reproduced, republished or distributed without appropriate permission unless applicable law permits it.
Availability and service changes
We aim to keep the Service operational, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
Maintenance, internet failures, third-party outages, security incidents, technical problems or circumstances outside IGEN's reasonable control may temporarily affect access.
Features may be added, changed or discontinued as the platform evolves.
Third-party services
The Service may interact with third-party products such as Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, external video platforms or other event-related services.
Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's own policies and terms.
IGEN does not control the independent operation of third-party platforms.
Privacy
Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy .
You should review that policy before using the Service, particularly if you connect Google Calendar or other optional integrations.
Suspension and termination
Access may be temporarily or permanently restricted where reasonably necessary to:
- Protect the Service or its users.
- Investigate suspected misuse.
- Comply with applicable law.
- Address serious or repeated violations.
- Protect event integrity or participation records.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis without guarantees that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
IGEN is not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party platform outages, unauthorized user conduct, inaccurate information supplied by a user, or events outside IGEN's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Applicable law
These Terms are intended to operate in accordance with applicable laws of India.
Any dispute will be handled subject to applicable legal requirements and the jurisdiction legally available to the parties.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when features, operational practices or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with the updated effective date.
Continued use of the Service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
